Event Description

The International Club of DC, with the cooperation of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain, cordially requests the pleasure of your company for an enchanting evening to experience Bahraini culture and a dinner buffet feast of traditional Bahraini delicacies prepared especially for you by the Embassy chef. You will also learn about the Kingdom and its rich history, and culture.

A Celebration of Bahrain Cuisine: Bahraini Food Day

~ Welcome remarks by the Cultural Counselor Mubarak Buti
~ Short presentation about Bahrain with Question & answer session.
~ Dinner buffet feast prepared by the embassy chef
~ The evening also features a live demonstration of the preparation and cooking of the “Legaimat - Bahraini sweet” by the Embassy’s chef.

Attend on your own or with friends for a delightful evening of Bahraini culture. The evening includes a very special dinner reception of traditional Bahraini delicacies prepared especially for you by the embassy chef. This is a rare opportunity to feast on traditional Bahraini cuisine.

Parking is limited to street parking in the vicinity of the venue. The event start at the designated time so please allow sufficient time for traffic/travel/transportation and parking as these factors are beyond our control.

Event Notes

The event presented each November 3rd is a celebration of Bahraini cuisine. As part of the celebration, this year the event will involve more than 50,000 students from all the DC public schools to promote Bahraini cuisine and a healthier diet as well. DCPS will offer a Bahraini breakfast and lunch to students.
