LAFAYETTE RETURNS TO AMERICA: JOIN US FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL EVENING
Bastille Day 2015 will celebrate “Lafayette returns to America” and the spirit of freedom the United States and France have shared, and owed to one another, for the last two centuries.

All guests must be 21 and over.

Come by yourself or with friends for your trip to France as you experience a magnificent Bastille Day Celebration. Start your evening with a glass of champagne or cocktails served at the open bar while perusing art and luxury items offered at the silent & online auctions. Stroll around the embassy's garden, enjoy live music, and dance the night away as you make new friends. Our Bastille Day Gala sold out each of the last 10 years-- reserve your tickets now!

The Cuisine
Come savor a delectable buffet of mouth-watering creations — both classic French dishes and modern twists — with some of Washington’s most renowned chefs. This Parisian celebration will also include authentic French pastries and an open bar of French wine, spirits and bubbly.

Music and Live Entertainment
We have assembled a night of art, music, and culture encompassing period entertainment, live music, as well as a DJ spinning modern dance hits so you can dance the night away!

Dance, dance, dance the night away! Chelsey Green and the Green Project will showcase sultry vocals with innovative violin performances of contemporary favorites and memorable originals. This billboard charting recording artists are described as passionate, electrifying, and innovative. They will keep you on your feet all evening and later on the DJ Neekola will invite you to dance the night away!

Period entertainment will enchant you with an evening of music and dancing. You’ll meet costumed contemporaries of Lafayette as you mingle with other guests. We will surprise you and transport you to a supremely elegant and romantic 18th century grand soiree! 

The Silent & Online Auction
Throughout the evening, patrons will revel in an intoxicating mix of live music, while enjoying cocktails served from the open bars and perusing the luxurious items in our silent and online auction!

Kindly note that your contribution is unrelated to the embassy or venue the event is being presented at and all proceeds from the event are used solely by International Club of DC Inc. to cover expenses related to presenting cultural events to our members.

Map/Parking

If driving, street parking will be available on Reservoir Road and throughout the surrounding neighborhoods. Also, there is a pay lot located across the street at Georgetown University Hospital. Due to security considerations, parking WILL NOT be available on the grounds of the Embassy of France.

If using public transportation, the D6 Metro Bus towards Sibley Hospital drops off directly in front of the embassy. Due to limited parking, we recommend Uber, public transportation or a cab.

Parking is limited to street parking in the vicinity of the venue. Kindly note that, as is the case in most major cities, the availability of street parking in Washington DC is limited and beyond our control. Due to the limited availability of parking, we highly recommend a cab, Uber/Lyft or other transportation option. The event start at the designated time so please allow sufficient time for traffic/travel/transportation and parking as these factors are beyond our control.

Event Notes

Security / Check-in
Please print your tickets and have your ID out and ready when you arrive. It will make check-in a lot easier and faster. You can check in at the event with your ID as your ticket will be available for you at the entrance. No backpacks allowed.

Refund Policy
Please note that all ticket sales are final. Refunds will not be available, with the exception of the event being canceled.

In accordance with federal legislation regarding consumption of alcoholic beverages, this event is restricted to guests over 21 years of age.
