Ljubljana
Ljubljana’s unique character is mainly due
to the mixture of two very different
but complementary features: on one hand,
the city is famed for its historical heritage
and traditions; on the other, it is a relatively
young city with a modern lifestyle (the average age of its residents is only slightly above
30). Ljubljana is visited by scientists attracted by the international reputation of its
university, world renowned artists fascinated
by its vibrant and creative spirit, business-men attending business meetings and trade
exhibitions, and international experts attracted by the conferences held in the city.
Boat ride
No trip to Ljubljana is complete without
taking a boat tour, and the hand-made wooden boat operated by the young
team at Laker Craft is easily the most attractive of all the crafts plying the waters of the
Ljubljanica. A ride lasts just under an hour,
and offers views of most of the old town’s
major sights from a unique vantage point.
Your tour guide will take a tour of
Ljubljana’s streets, squares, and buildings
where the remains of 2000 years old Emona
have survived to the present day. At a restaurant located in the vicinity of the former
Roman forum you will have an opportunity
to taste a Roman drink and dessert.
The tour will include the remains of Emona’s
northern city gate and burial ground.During this guided tour of Roman Ljubljana
you will put on Roman attire and get to know
the daily life and customs of the residents of
Emona, who lived on the site of Ljubljana
2,000 years ago.

Town of Motovun and Grožnjan / Istria is the north west part of Croatia.
You can enjoy it on the coastal line or you can choose and get away from the coast into the rural interior and the picturesque hill towns of Grožnjan and Motovun. It’s easy to do a day’s driving tour between the different hill-top towns, such as Buzet, Draguac, Hum and Boljun as well as the better known Grožnjan and Motovun. These towns started off many centuries ago as fortified settlements on the top of the hill, were rebuilt in the Middle Ages and then strengthened further under Austrian or Venetian colonization.
Motovun is a village in central Istria overlooking the Mirna river valley.
Motovun is a medieval town that grew up on the site of an ancient city called Kastelijer. It is situated on a hill 270 metres (886 feet) above sea level with houses scattered all over the hill. On the inner walls are several coats-of-arms of different Motovun ruling families and two gravestones of Roman inhabitants (dating from the 1st century). In the 10th and 11th centuries it belonged to the Bishop of Porec. From 1278 it was taken over by Venice and surrounded by solid walls which are still intact today, and used as a walkway with unique views over the four corners of Istria. All three parts of the town are connected by a system of internal and external fortifications with towers and city gates containing elements of Romanesque, Gothicand Renaissance styles, built between the 14th and 17th centuries. It is a typical example of Venetian colonial architecture.
Grožnjan is a village in Northern Istria.
The fact that Grožnjan has been known for decades as the “town of artists” speaks for itself, and with guide support you will be given the opportunity to thoroughly get to know this hidden Istrian gem and its most famous sights. It is especially enchanting that the medieval beauty and authenticity of the town have been preserved until today in its walls, old churches, forts, and stone streets and squares, with various building styles that dominated in different historic periods of Grožnjan. There are, of course, many galleries and ateliers in which artists create daily and delight culture lovers who visit Gožnjan.
Rovinj
On the magnificent coast of Istria (Croatia), right below the Lim Fjord, is the most romantic place in the Mediterranean. The town of Rovinj is the right destination for all of you seeking a sentimental atmosphere of the times that have forever gone by. In the Mediterranean, you can find it here, in the town that has begun its romantic life on an island, its restricted area resulting in crowded houses, narrow streets and small squares, still untouched by modern urbanism. The guests can enjoy a rich summer event calendar featuring events such as: Rovinj Photodays, Summer Salsa Festival, Kultfest, Lugger Regatta; as well as traditional festivities such as: Rovinjs Night and the Feast of St. Euphemia, the patron saint of Rovinj. There are 134 sunny days in a year, which makes Rovinj the third sunniest spot in the Adriatic. At the same time, it is the least cloudy place.
