Sailing is a great way to enjoy summertime on the Potomac River. We learned the basics of sailing and operating a boat including safety, rules of the river, rigging, maneuvering the boat, using the wind for movement, and derigging the boat at the end of the day. We completed the experience with a summer barbeque at the end of the sailing session.
