Event Description
The International Club of DC cordially requests the pleasure of your company for a very special evening at the Embassy of Sri Lanka. The evening includes an authentic dinner buffet of Sri Lankan delicacies prepared by the embassy chef along with the opportunity to learn about Sri Lanka, its people, geography, history, and culture.
The evening begins with welcome remarks about Sri Lanka’s culture, geography, trade, and tourism. Afterwards you will be invited to feast on a buffet of authentic Sri Lankan delicacies along with world renowned Ceylon Tea. The evening also provides you with the opportunity to meet diplomatic personnel at the embassy as well as International Club of DC members in attendance. Don't miss this opportunity to discover one of the world's most exotic travel destinations and a tropical island paradise.
Please note that if the Ambassador is called away for official business, the Deputy Chief of Mission will welcome you to the Embassy of Sri Lanka.

A sumptuous dish prepared with rice, vegetable oil, vegetables and spices.
Chicken Curry
Tender chicken cooked in coconut milk with spices.
Cashew Curry
Spicy Sri Lankan dish of cashews cooked in an exotic assortment of Sri Lankan spices.
Coconut Sambol
A Sri Lankan delicacy prepared with grated coconut, onions, chili, and lime juice.
Fried Egg Curry
Fried boiled eggs prepared with coconut milk and tropical spices.
Dhall(Lentil) Curry
Lentils cooked with garlic and tropical spices.
Sri Lankan Vegetable Salad
A very tasty salad of tropical vegetables with olive oil dressing

Wattalappam
A dessert similar to caramel pudding, made with eggs, coconut syrup, coconut milk, and nutmeg. A delectable Sri Lankan delicacy!
Please note that the event is presented for you to walk around the embassy, meet ICDC members, as well as embassy staff during the dinner reception, as you discover Sri Lanka. Kindly note that though there will be limited seating, the event is not presented as a seated function.
