Event Description

Step aboard our cruise boat for spectacular views of the 4th of July fireworks & sweeping views of the magnificent DC skyline.  As the Washington nightlife comes to life after the sunset, meet ICDC members and enjoy a memorable 4th of July with panoramic views of the illuminated monuments and DC skyline at a distance. As we gently cruise past the majestic sights of DC, enjoy food (Hotdogs, Sandwiches, Hummus & Veggie Platters, Cheese and Cracker Platters, and Desserts) served aboard the boat along with a complimentary glass of champagne followed by additional drinks served at the cash bar. Watching the fireworks from the Potomac River is a magical and memorable experience whether you relax in the climate controlled deck or enjoy the sights on the open-air deck of our cruise boat.

As you enjoy views of the DC skyline, you can socialize, make new friends, and enjoy the views before returning back to the dock at the conclusion of our private cruise. You will enjoy spectacular views of the monuments south of the 14th Street Bridge. We expect this cruise to be very popular with our members. Please reserve your tickets early before we sell out.

We will depart from the Southwest Waterfront . Please refer to the end of the event description for detailed directions. Please arrive promptly at the designated time and allow time for road closures and delays associated with the July 4th festivities. You MUST arrive on time for registration as we WILL leave at the designated time. No refunds will be offered if you are late or fail to arrive at the designated meeting location for any reason.

We will cruise rain or shine: Please also note that the fireworks organized as a part of the annual July 4th celebration is beyond our control. We will cruise rain or shine but we are unable to offer refunds in the unlikely event that the fireworks are delayed or postponed due any reason.

Please note that the cruise is presented with an open unreserved seating plan, with exterior seating around the perimeter of the vessel on the promenade, & seating on the interior lining the windows as well so you can walk around the boat and enjoy different views of the DC skyline as well as mingle with other guests.

Our cruise this year is on a different and larger boat than the one featured on the video.

7:20 PM Boarding begins and boat leaves the dock.

Expect to arrive at the dock at approximately 10:00 PM.

 * Please note that due to ongoing river traffic on the Potomac, other boats that use the dock, and security considerations on the dock, the time of departure or arrival may change. Please allow plenty of time to arrive at the meeting location on time. We look forward to enjoy the views of the Potomac with you soon! Kindly note that we are unable to issue refund if you are delayed due to any reason and miss the cruise.

Please note that street and metro closures are possible and allow PLENTY of time to reach the meeting location for the cruise on time. We are unable to issue refunds if you are delayed for any reason, including street closures or the closure of Metro stations.

The Metro and driving directions are provided below only as a courtesy and we do not guarantee the accuracy of the directions below as the directions are subject to street closures and Metro station closures that are beyond our control. Please allow sufficient time to find an alternate route due to possible Metro and street closures.

Please note that cruise time may change to accommodate security and traffic considerations on the Channel. Please note that it is your responsibility to arrive at the meeting location on time. Please allow plenty of time for traffic delays and/or road closures along with the possibility of the closure of Metro stations. Plan to get there early! If you do not arrive at the meeting location at the designated time and miss the cruise, we are unable to issue refunds. Purchase of tickets by your constitutes your acceptance of our no refund policy.

The yacht is located at the Washington Marina - NOT WHERE THE ODYSSEY OR THE SPIRIT BOATS ARE LOCATED! The entrance for the National Ferry Corporation dock is near the foot of 15th Street.

WE HIGHLY SUGGEST TAKING THE METRO

Metro: Blue, Silver, Orange, Green, Yellow -- L'Enfant Plaza (10-15 minute walk)

From L'Enfant Plaza, Walk West on D Street toward 7th Street SW. Continue straight onto Maryland Ave. Walk around the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and take the footbridge across Maine Avenue. We are located directly across the street from the rear entrance of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

Parking is limited to street parking in the vicinity of the venue. Kindly note that, as is the case in most major cities, the availability of street parking in Washington DC is limited and beyond our control.
