The International Club of DC with the cooperation of the Embassy of Portugal and  His Excellency Ambassador Francisco Duarte Lopes, the Portuguese Ambassador to the United States, cordially request the pleasure of your company for the rare delight of an evening featuring a delightful classical piano concert preceded by a dinner buffet feast of Portuguese delicacies prepared especially for you by the Ambassador's staff!

Enjoy a delightful concert featuring Nuno Marques, one of Portugal's finest and most sought-after Portuguese pianists. The intimate and beautiful setting of the Portuguese Ambassador’s residence provides the perfect setting for you to discover Portugal through all your senses while meeting the Ambassador*, distinguished diplomats and staff at the embassy along with ICDC members in attendance.   
  
* Please note that if the Ambassador is called away for official business, the Deputy Chief of Mission or other high ranking diplomat from the embassy will present the welcome remarks.

The dinner buffet of Portuguese delicacies will be presented with limited seating. The dinner reception also includes wine and drinks served at the bar.

Please reserve your tickets soon, as space is very limited and the event is expected to sell out in advance. Discounted tickets available for a limited time. As we reach capacity, the ticket price is subject to increase.

:::: Nuno Marques: Biography

Award-winning Portuguese pianist Nuno Marques is one of the most sought-after Portuguese pianists of his generation. Nuno has developed an extensive, international performing career from his current base in New York City, where he directs Porto Pianofest-- an international piano festival held annually in Porto, Portugal. He is the festival’s founder and artistic director. A Doctor of Musical Arts, he is a versatile musician, equally comfortable playing solo, chamber music, teaching, or collaborating with other forms of artistic expression.

His most recent concerts took him to renowned music halls and festivals in Europe, Asia and the US, where he played twice at Carnegie Hall. Nuno Marques has also embarked twice on extensive concert tours in China, and has given public masterclasses in Portugal, Spain, the World Piano Congress in Serbia, Myanmar, China and the US.

All online reservations are final. We are unable to issue refunds for tickets purchased due to expenses incurred to present the event. Make your reservations early, as space is limited. Cost of reservations is subject to increase as we approach the date of the event.

Please ensure that you arrive at the Portuguese Ambassador's Residence promptly by 6:30 PM, as dinner is served prior to the concert. Dinner service concludes at 7:00 PM in preparation for the concert so please make sure that you arrive prior to 7PM. Kindly note that if you arrive after 7PM and miss the dinner, we are unable to offer you a refund. The piano concert is expected to commence shortly after 7:30 PM with the event concluding at about 8:30 PM.

The wine bar and the dinner buffet reception will be presented before the concert.

8:30 PM Event Concludes

Due to security and space considerations, you must reserve a ticket in advance to attend. Please arrive with photo ID that matches the name on your reservation and the credit card used to make the reservation. Due to strict security considerations all guest must have a reservation and photo ID to attend. Absolutely no door sales.

Parking is limited to street parking in the vicinity of the Ambassador's residence. Uber or other transportation service is highly recommended.

Parking is limited to street parking in the vicinity of the venue. Kindly note that, as is the case in most major cities, the availability of street parking in Washington DC is limited and beyond our control. Due to the limited availability of parking, we highly recommend a cab, Uber/Lyft or other transportation option. The event start at the designated time so please allow sufficient time for traffic/travel/transportation and parking as these factors are beyond our control.
