Artwork for Viewing or Purchase
Several exceptionally talented local artists will display their works for viewing and purchase. The works will include portraits in pastels, oil paintings, and photography. Some of the artists who will be showing include Donna Shields and Myra Maslowsky. Myra Maslowsky, who is the curator for this event, has shown her work in the Washington, DC embassies of Austria, Finland, and Croatia. She is also been featured on CBS news and is the former president of the Takoma Artists Guild. Donna Shields has shown her works at the Embassy of Austria and the Blackrock Center of the Arts in Germantown, Maryland, and the Kentlands Mansion in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
Support Charlie's Place: A Service for the Homeless
All the artists will donate 30% of the proceeds of their sales from this event to Charlies Place, a homeless service center in Washington, DC, which has been assisting the homeless for more than 25 years. We thank Bruce McBarnette, President of Summit Connection and realtor with Keller Williams for sponsoring this event and inviting artists along with their works for this event.
