Join us for a tour of the Freer Gallery of Art to discover the world's most ancient and exotic art as you meet ICDC Members and make new friends. Attend on your own or with friends for a fascinating afternoon of discovery as you learn about the culture and heritage of distant lands as you explore the treasures of the Freer Gallery.
The Freer Gallery of Art and the Arthur M. Sackler Gallery contain some of the most important holdings of Asian art in the world. In addition, the Freer Gallery boasts exemplary examples of late-nineteenth-century works of American landscape and portraiture by James McNeill Whistler and his contemporaries.
The collection includes: American, Ancient Egyptian, Ancient Near Eastern Art, Arts of the Islamic World, Biblical Manuscripts, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, South Asian, and Southeast Asian. Our tour will primarily focus on the Japanese, American and Indian galleries with other areas of the gallery covered by request, based on the pace of the group.
Space is limited so please make your reservations early. The cost of the tour is used to cover the operational expenses of the International Club of DC and is not related to the Freer Gallery of Art.
