Halloween under the Stars at the Embassy Row Rooftop: Dance to Two Live Bands after Swing and Salsa Lessons

Event Description

Due to inclement weather expected on Friday, as stated in the Rain Date Policy, the event will instead be presented on SUNDAY October 31st, the day of Halloween! If you had previously made a reservation, as disclosed in the Rain Date Policy, you can either attend on SUNDAY OCTOBER 31st or request to attend a similar event in the future. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, October 31st! If you are unable to join us on Sunday, October 31st, please email us at [email protected] so we can arrange for you to receive a credit towards attending a future event with many events scheduled in the coming weeks!

Celebrate Halloween with an Embassy Row Rooftop Dance Soiree under the stars featuring TWO live bands performing both swing and salsa music. The evening begins with swing and salsa dance lessons followed by a haunted battle of the bands as a swing and salsa band takes the stage to perform music for an unforgettable Halloween Soiree under the stars with spectacular views of the Washington DC skyline as a backdrop.

Our previous rooftop soiree sold out, so please reserve your tickets now, as space is limited. 



You are cordially invited to the Ven at Embassy Row, Washington DC’s premiere boutique hotel in the heart of Dupont Circle, for an unforgettable experience of networking and socializing as we present to you a dance soiree under the stars with dancing to live music. Join us to be immersed in a cultural experience of music and dance after the sunset with the Washington skyline as a spectacular backdrop.

As you meet other guests, enjoy Mojitos (while supplies last!), red and white wine along with champagne available for purchase while you take in the rooftop’s relaxed ambiance. Join us at 6:30 PM to relax and meet other guests as we show you how to dance both swing and salsa or join us after 7:30 PM to dance to both a swing band and a salsa band under the stars. After the sunset, experience an evening of music and dancing to two live bands playing sounds of Havana along with swing dance music. If you sign up for the salsa lessons, please make sure that you arrive by 6:40 PM as the lessons will conclude around 7:30 in time for dancing to live music.

Rain Date Policy - SUNDAY OCTOBER 31st
Purchase of tickets constitutes your acceptance that in the event of inclement weather, the event will be presented on SUNDAY OCTOBER 31st at the same time. If the rain date is in effect, you can either attend on SUNDAY OCTOBER 31st or request to attend a a similar event in the future. Due to expenses incurred to plan the event, we are unable to offer refunds.

Health & Safety
Proof of COVID vaccination is required for admission. Since the event is presented outside for guests with proof of vaccination, masks are optional, but recommend. Kindly note that masks are required to enter the hotel and use indoor public areas of the hotel.

Attend on Your own or with Friends
You are welcome to attend on your own and new members are especially welcome! The event presents a wonderful opportunity to meet, network and socialize with other internationally minded professionals in town. If you are new to our organization or Washington DC this is a great opportunity to meet other like minded professionals in a friendly and relaxed setting.

6:30 PM Admission Commences for guests who signed up for the salsa and swing dance lessons.
Enjoy both a swing and salsa salsa lesson prior to dancing. If you purchased a ticket for the lessons, please make sure that you arrive by 6:40 PM, as the lessons ends shortly after 7:20 PM. Times are approximate. Arrive on time.

7:30 PM Enjoy an evening of networking and socializing under the stars with music by two live bands performing both swing and salsa music.

The Embassy Row Hotel is conveniently located at DuPont Circle just a block from Metro. Limited valet parking is also available on a first-come basis.
Please note that the map is enclosed below as a courtesy to you and for your convenience but we do not guarantee the accuracy of the map or the directions provided by Google. It is your responsibly to arrive safely and on time at the address of the event disclosed above.

Parking is limited to street parking in the vicinity of the venue. Kindly note that, as is the case in most major cities, the availability of street parking in Washington DC is limited and beyond our control. Due to the limited availability of parking, we highly recommend a cab, Uber/Lyft or other transportation option. The event start at the designated time so please allow sufficient time for traffic/travel/transportation and parking as these factors are beyond our control.
