Event Description

Join us on your own or with friends for an exciting culinary journey to India as you discover exotic spices and how to prepare a complete Indian meal with dessert at home. The chef at Heritage India, one of the most celebrated Indian restaurants in town, will demonstrate how easy it is to prepare a delicious Indian meal. The cooking demonstration is followed by lunch with dessert as you meet and enjoy the company of other ICDC Members. 

This is a great opportunity for you to meet and socialize with other ICDC members as you develop your culinary skills! Space is limited so please reserve your tickets early! Tickets include take home recipes, cooking demonstration, and lunch with dessert.

Cooking Class and Lunch Menu

Onion Bhajji (Also known as Onion Fritters)
Made from chickpea batter and spices, this tasty Indian snack is served hot with a tamarind and cilantro yogurt dip.

Chicken Moilee
An easy to make, delicate recipe from Kerala, with mustard seeds and coconut imparting a lovely creaminess to the dish. Best enjoyed with lemon rice or steamed basmati rice.

Paneer Bhurji
This simple and yet not lacking in flavor dish is popular in Northern India and made with aromatic spices, grated cottage cheese, and fresh herbs.
  
Masala Daal
Masala Dal, comprising of lentils, cooked with onions and tomatoes, and perked up with a range of carefully chosen spices.

Kheer
Rice pudding from the cuisine of the Indian subcontinent made by boiling rice with milk and sugar and flavored with cardamom, raisins, pistachios or almonds.
 
In addition to the above items, rice and Indian bread will also be served!

Please note that the cooking class will be presented as a cooking demonstration followed by lunch with dessert and attendees will be invited to join the chef to prepare the meal at certain points during the demonstration.
