Event Details Whether you plan to attend our Masquerade Ball at the National Museum of Women in the Arts or would simply like to learn how to dance the Viennese Waltz, as it is danced in Vienna, don't miss this opportunity to learn how to dance one of the most timeless and romantic dances of all time. The lessons will be taught on the exquisite marble dance floor of the the grand ballroom of the National Museum of Women in the Arts. The Viennese waltz lessons will be taught by Herb and Carol Traxler. A Native of Austria, Mr. Traxler has taught the Viennese waltz to hundreds of enthusiastic dancers in the Washington, DC, area -- at the White House, the Smithsonian, and the Austrian Embassy. Their Viennese waltz lessons include the Viennese waltz (Linkswalzer, Rechtswalzer, hesitation step), posture, dance etiquette, and the Handkuss (hand kiss), as well as an introduction to the balls and to the Viennese waltz music of the Strauss dynasty.
