Event Details The International Club of DC and the Russian Chamber Arts Society cordially requests the pleasure of your company at the Embassy of Austria on the evening of Friday November 16, 2012 for a delightful evening of music featuring beloved Austrian and Russian compositions followed by a reception of champage and delectable desserts. You are welcome to attend on your own or with friends. Tickets for the rare delight of a classical concert and champagne reception at the Austrian Embassy, one of the most magnificent embassies in Washington DC, are only $50 for a limited time. Please reserve your tickets early as space is limited and our previous classical concert at the Austrian Embassy sold out in advance. A Celebration of Austrian and Russian Compositions: From Vienna to Moscow Soprano Jennifer Casey Cabot and pianist Vera Danchenko-Stern will present the “crème de la crème” of lieder by Austrian composers Hugo Wolf and Josef Marx, and art songs by Russian composers Sergei Rachmaninov and Sergei Prokofiev. Requested Attire Business or cocktail attire is requested. Tentative Agenda (Agenda is subject to change) Please arrive at the Embassy at 7:00 PM to meet other attendees prior to the concert. Seating is assigned on a first-come basis and you are highly recommended to arrive at 7:00 PM. The concert is expected to begin at 7:30 PM with the reception expected to commence at 9:00 PM.
